You're kidding right? July 28, 2010 S. Ely This is the most ridiculous product I think I have ever seen. With every one of these things sold it just proves how stupid people are with their money. People wake up! If you get germs from your soap dispenser guess what? Use the freakin' soap to wash them off. Every time I see the commercial for this I want to thrown the remote at the TV. People do your intelligence a favor and don't buy this.
Lysol No Touch can break down fairly easy July 27, 2010 MargBully (USA) In theory the Lysol No Touch dispenser is a great product. It allows households to avoid touching the soap dispenser, especially during those times when flu/cold season are at the peak. When I purchased this product I was very excited, and enjoyed the various scent options available for this device.
The one issue that I would note is that the dispenser itself is not very well designed. Water can ocassionally get in through the bottom of the device (where the batteries are housed) and cause it to stop functioning properly. Given the dispensers proximity to the sink, it is hard to avoid water from ever entering the device. The second issue that I would note is that the sensor sometimes accidentally may release soap when you move your hand near the device. While the device does have an off/on switch button in the back, this seems somewhat counter-intuitive to a no touch device if you have to turn it off to avoid it from accidentally spilling out soap. While this device is great in theory, money may be better spent in trying another no touch hand dispenser device.
Why are you worried about germs if you are washing your hands? July 14, 2010 Z. Cohen 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
This product makes no sense. You are worried about germs from a soap dispenser but you are washing your hands from the soap out of the dispenser. Am I the only one who does not get this?
it's a waste of money July 12, 2010 shirou45 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
Why would it matter if you are touching a "dirty" soap dispenser if you are going to be washing your hands anyway? Why should you pay $17.00 for an electronic soap dispenser that you are going to be keeping next to a sink where it could possibly fall in and probably short out or something like that. Besides that it's pretty pointless to spend that much on something like that if you could spend around $3 on something that holds just as much soap right there you save $14. I just feel that it is a waste of money and that anyone who feels that it is a good idea didn't really think things through to well.
Great concept and price point, but dispenses way too much soap June 21, 2010 C. Abe (Bay Area, CA) The device dispenses way too much soap, so you end up wasting a lot more water to wash off the soap. I wish this device would dispenses foam soap, now that would be useful.
Lysol has the right idea and the price point is good (I got it at Walmart on clearance for $6), but if you wash your hands more than 5-8 times a day you will need to buy the refill every two weeks.
