I really like the soap, having just tossed my last can of shaving cream I noticed that the soap lather provided a much smoother shave using the same cartridge razor. I like the stand that holds the brush upright; this should facilitate good drying from what I've read. I definitely recommend lathering from soap instead of using a can as some airlines may not allow a compressed canister in your luggage. That being said, the brush doesn't seem very durable. A few bristles fell out the first time I used it. Good for a starter kit, but later on you'll probably want a better brush.

since you can find brand product in shops that will cast at least $20 for the shaving cream, $30 for the brush.... all for less than $15... perfect.
I bought that to try, i didn't want to invest to much money without knowing if i will like it and continue shaving with a safty razor.
I LIKED IT !
Those razors are great and shave way better than any mac III for cheaper.
If you start or if the budget is tight, go for it it is a good set.
Later on you might like a better brush though.

I waited too long to convert to this shaving experience. Kiss the boring morning (or evening, I guess) aerosol-whipped-cream ritual goodbye. And the Omega system works perfectly. The brush smoothly and evenly applies the soap without scratch or tickle, and I haven't noticed any shedding of bristles (I mean on the brush, not my beard). The soap is slightly tinged with menthol and lathers nicely. 'Pretty incredible price, too, for products that work so well. 'Great gift!

The soap is pretty good in this kit and it lasts forever. (and it smells nice) The brush does its job alright, but it doesn't hold water great and it takes a really long time to break in. (it's boar bristle, not badger) For the same price or less you could get the Tweezerman badger hair brush and a bar of shave soap that will end up being a better deal for the money.
